History

Viz Risk Management was founded in 1992 by a former financial trader, and together with two finance professors the company delivered front-office solutions to the interest rate markets from 1994.

In 1998 we developed the first power solutions, very much with the same methodology as in the interest market. As a continuation of the first power models we started in 1999 to develop a complete ETRM solution to the Nordic market.

In 2004 we also offered this solution to the European market and expanded the functionalities to meet our Continental European client's demands for delivering efficient systems solutions.

In 2005 we merged with Orion Energy Consulting and BizPartner, both in Oslo, and established Viz Consulting.

In may 2006 we opened an office in Amsterdam to support our increasing customer base in the Netherlands. During the years since 1992 our focus has always been to deliver smart and effective solutions to our customers through a business model that suits both the customers and us.
